Goal 5
Lower the unit cost of delivering to a defined service level and find ways to deliver additional value for the same cost.

Achieving this goal means designing flexible processes for least transaction cost, so that:

  • parties to transactions can stagger workloads around the academic year to suit their needs
  • processes avoid duplication and rework by collecting data once and validating it at source
  • consumers of information spend less time finding it, more time using it and know how to interpret it
  • customers have adequate lead times to learn and adapt to new processes
  • business continuance processes protect customers from single points of failure

Objective 5.1
Make quality-assured data available just in time to the business processes that use it.

Objective 5.2
Work with the sector to design simple data exchange processes that minimise compliance costs.

Objective 5.3
Align service quality standards to meet legislative or policy requirements and customer expectations.

Objective 5.4
Agencies and customers can interact regardless of the technologies they use.
