Work is underway on the analysis of the 2005/07 and 2006/08 profiles and the drafting of the 2005 Monitoring Report. This, and other information, will feed into a Stage One report, to be released in September.

Developing the framework

The first step in the evaluation was to develop a framework of evaluation questions. Start Here to explore the questions.

A staged approach

Using this framework, we are developed a staged approach to the evaluation. Evaluation Approach provides an overview of this.

Three stages are proposed, each building on the previous stage. The approach for stage 2 will be reviewed and developed in light of the findings of stage 1.

  • Stage One: What do we need to know to formulated the next Tertiary Education Strategy?

  • Stage Two: What do we need to know to implement the next Tertiary Education Strategy?

  • Stage Three:What has been the overall effect of the 2002/07 Tertiary Education Strategy?

The three stages are presented in a Summary Table here.
