Alignment was a key issue for many groups. Issues relating to alignment include the need to:
- demonstrate the connection between the early childhood education, schools and tertiary (e)learning frameworks.
- ensure alignment across all aspects of the Ministry, including alignment with the Schooling Strategy, the curriculum review and the Māori Education Strategy.
- explore and apply Kaupapa Māori frameworks within and across the (e)learning frameworks.
- demonstrate where the schools (e)learning framework fits with the national Digital Strategy.
- complete and implement current curriculum and policy initiatives and developments in schools before introducing the (e)learning framework.

- An important factor for me is looking at how does the (e)learning strategy sit in relation to the Key competencies for education in the 21st Century.

Using Language, symbols & texts (Making meaning)
