The government’s Digital Strategy [1] sets the following goal (emphasis added):
To unlock New Zealand’s stock of
content and provide all New Zealanders with seamless, easy access to the
information that is important to their lives, businesses, and cultural identity.
Content is information which is made available through digital networks.
Information is a broad concept that encompasses national heritage collections, government information, Māori language resources, research databases, literature, history and entertainment, as well as relationships that can be conducted through online facilities (e.g. e-learning, online GST returns or Internet banking).
