ESAF Value Proposition!ESAF provides the basis for more positive learning and education outcomes. ESAF achieves demonstrable efficiency and effectiveness gains through education sector infrastructure rationalization. ESAF leads cross-sector collaboration in areas of mutual benefit and helps people comply. By becoming more integrated, connected and flexible, the sector is positioned to meet the diverse needs of all New Zealand learning communities.

The ESAF Working Party seeks endorsement from sector decision makers on the following key components of the ESAF Phase 1 Requirements:

  1. Principles under which ESAF agrees to operate — its rules of engagement

  2. Goals ESAF aims to achieve and the associated characteristics that projects must satisfy

  3. Projects that the ESAF Working Party has identified as core infrastructure

  4. Project Candidates that can make use of the infrastructure ESAF provides — the superstructure

ESAF is following an iterative approach and this first check-point is an opportunity to ask, “Have we missed anything important?”

The next step, which will be completed early in the new year, is to expand the detail around the work programme. There will be a further report-back at that point.
