[I talked to Derek Chirnside, who works at the home of Interact - Chch College of Ed] last Friday about Interact vs. other LMS-type software. Pete had the [dis]pleasure of being given a guided tour by your’s truly. The day was taken up with presentations by tertiary teachers (ie. lecturers and tutors). These focussed on how they have found ICTs to be helpful or unhelpful in their practice, and how their potential can be maximised. This included practical demonstrations and in some cases responses and outcomes from students that had been gathered by the teacher, their department or the students’ association. ?The day was very beneficial for us in the following ways (from my perspective). A huge diversity of approaches were exhibited, and there was some really useful cases to be used in ‘case studies’ for effective practice, or as exemplars. a number of more general issues were also highlighted, which might be taken into account in the ‘Action Plan’ that we’re developing. - Danny 1.2 Current work scheduleTeLRG Wiki
