Learners are equipped to make informed choices about career and learning options

Refer to monitoring framework for Objective21?

By 2007, all learners through schools, providers, Career Services and the TEC can expect a higher quality and greater range of information to be available. This will include information about skills in demand in labour market, the employment outcomes of programmes of study, the personal rates of return on tuition and student completion rates. Information and advice about the employment opportunities and experiences of specific groups, such as disabled people, will be readily available.

In 2007, Maori communities will have increased access to career planning and course information that is ‘smarter’ in reaching Maori learners and Whanau. This information will be impartial and include details about the value individuals can gain from different tertiary qualifications so that Maori / whanau / hapu / iwi can choose tertiary education options in line with their aspirations.
